A Mikvah is a ritual bathhouse that allows Jewish families to observe ancient traditions. This is a project near and dear to the heart of Montréal’s Jewish community. Mikvah Israel was the first women’s mikvah to have been constructed in the area and for 50 years it has serviced hundreds of Jewish families, serving as the very core of Jewish family life.
The Mikvah Israel project involved doubling the building’s footprint, as well as redesigning and renovating the existing building.
Four new Mikvahs were developed and constructed under the guidance and oversight of numerous local and international rabbis, to ensure it meets the standards of every group within the Jewish community of Montreal.
