Rabbinical College

After a year spent educating students over Zoom, Rabbinical College, a school in the Cote-des-Neiges borough of Montreal, gathered the funds for a full scale renovation of their 30,000 square foot building. With classes starting in September, we were given six weeks (during the height of the pandemic when Canada faced serious labor and material shortages) to complete what would normally take four months of work.

Within a month and a half, we demolished and completely renovated an entire floor of classrooms, administration offices, and bathrooms, repainted the entire building, tore up and repaved the yard, fixing its fence and putting in new play structures, and gutted & rebuilt a lunchroom and the main entrance lobby.

Students opened the school year in a fresh building, with state-of-the-art classrooms, security upgrades, and renovated spaces to enjoy warm food and let out steam during recess. Design was led by Dahan Design.
